Inception
MES Central School Puthanathani was  started on 20th March 1994.  The school started its operation with LKG class with 23 students. Later on a new block was constructed and inaugurated on 4th December 1996 by Jb.Panakkad Syed Mohammed Ali Shihab Thangal. The KG section was opened in June 2001.

Location
The school is located in Poovanchina , Puthanathani in Malappuram district of Kerala.The school is spread over an area of 3094 Mtr.Sqr.

Facilities
In a very short span of time school was equipped with almost all  modern facilities like spacious class rooms, school buses, computer lab etc to cater all students studying in the institution. The school also contributed in conducting cultural and sports activities like MES Tirur Taluk Arts Fest , MES State Kho-Kho tournament. Our students participated in All India Radio Calicut on 4th September and performed various programmes. 
The school got  CBSE affiliation in February  2002.
